Central America

A land bridge between North and South America, Central America is made up of seven countries – Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Guatemala. Each country is very distinctive, culturally as well as geographically. Like its mother region, Central America’s definitions and borders are blurred. Some count Mexico in, some do not. What is certain is that some of the world’s most beautiful places can definitely be found on the continent, such as Antigua Guatemala or Cocos Island National Park, and fourteen other UNESCO world heritage sites. In case you ever need to go for a dip, remember that there is no point in Central America more than 125 miles from the ocean.
